Dr. Vijay Degaonkar an Orthopedic Surgeon by profession is having a practice of above 37 yrs is from a family of a School teacher  who along with his two brothers started a small school in the year 1938 named  Shri Markandeya Vidhyalaya in order to teach the illiterate people of east part of Solapur City Maharashtra State. in the flow of time the school became famous being the only and a very good school in that area. 

                 In the year 1976 the school was  transformed into an institution named as VIJAY SHIKSHAN  PRASARAK MANDAL with a legal  Charitable Trust body.

                Dr. Vijay Degaonkar who is a Son of the founder Kashinath Degaonkar is now the President of the said Trust.

                 As a family member of School teachers Dr. Degaonkar is familiar with Educational environment and knows how schools are working.
